Plant a Tree | Carbon Neutral Partnership

$4.00Price

We've spent a lot of time talking about pursuing sustainability, and this is one more way to put our money where our mouth is. As part of our journey to becoming an entirely carbon neutral business, and in July 2021 we made our initial purchase of 200 trees in partnership with the @carbonneutralau Australian Carbon Neutral Plant-a-Tree Conservation program.

Now we are making it even easier for you to take part. Buy a tree through us, right here,  and know that we are committing to matching all tree purchases made through our website on top of regular bulk purchases that will help reduce our carbon footprint and restore a beautiful part of Australia. It's like a buy-one-get-one-free sale for the environment!

What does this mean? Your coffee purchases, and now direct tree purchases have and will continue to help to restore the natural landscape and reconnect habitats by linking small patches of remaining vegetation to create a 200km corridor from inland to the coast, in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor - a globally recognised biodiversity hotspot - restoring ecosystems by returning the degraded farmland to its original condition. The planted trees are protected for 100 years by a carbon covenant and carbon right registered with the state government on the land title, ensuring that the trees cannot be removed or compromised, even if the land is sold.

The program has a positive impact on climate change and directly contributes to the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
